Putting your videos up on YouTube: If you want to easily share your video with friends and family, but not the rest of the world.

Sign up for a YouTube Account at: http://www.youtube.com. If you have a Google account you can use that as your login.

There are two ways to create videos that are not viewable to the world. Making a video Private and making a video Unlisted. A Private video is the most secure. It is only viewable to those with a pre-existing YouTube account and only up to 25 users can have access to it.

To send a private video link pre-existing YouTube accounts a link to a Private video you must send it to their YouTube Account Name. For example. TechLoveHate is our YouTube User Account and questions@techLoveHate.com is our email address that is linked to YouTube. If you wanted to send a video marked as Private, you would have to share it with us via our "techlovehate" User Account. See image below:

After clicking the Share icon under your Private video you type in the User Account you want to share the video with. Then click the Send button.

With a YouTube video marked as Private, only those users accounts who you have shared with can view the video. Even if one of those users were to send a share link for the video to someone else, that link would not work if you yourself have not shared the video with the person the link was sent to.

An easier, but less secure way to send YouTube videos to friends and family is to mark a video as Unlisted instead of Private. An unlisted video can be sent to anyone you choose, even if they do not have a YouTube account. Only those who have the shared link can view the video, it is not viewable to the world unless a person has the specific link to your video. That link can be forewarded on by those you send the link to however, making it less secure.
